Dr. Michael Yessis points out the College and Pro Sports teams recruit using numbers that don’t really transfer into real performance in the Game. If College and Pro Athletes were really getting trained the right way many more athletes would be built into stars through the system. But that isn’t the case, colleges and the pros are continuing to shell out more and more cash to build teams from stars. If teams have to buy tallent from without instead of moving 2nd & 3rd stringers onto the field what are their trainers really producing?
Personally I can only think of one modern team that builds greatness from the system. The NFL’s Patriots are the only team that has a system set to find tallent and turn them into Super-Stars. The Patriots focus on winning instead of how much a football player can bench or do in the 40 yard dash.
